Dear Black Girl
By Amaia Hamilton,
Art by BriLynn Asia
In this heartwarming picture book, young author Amaia Hamilton speaks to her younger self and all young black girls, reminding them that they can accomplish whatever they put their hearts and minds to by being unapologetically themselves!
From encouraging readers to dance their hearts out to excelling in school to using their voices, Dear Black Girl is a self-affirming and confidence-building book to reassure melanated girls that their kinky-curly hair, African features and melanin are beautiful.
